9:30 am Saturday morning, begins with a bicycle ride along the most scenic bike path in Palm Beach behind the most expensive and famous homes around. Back yards on one side and the yachts in the Intracoastal on the other. We roll all the way to the inlet and back. We call this the Trail of Conspicuous Consumption. Later we dine at one of the famous restaurants on A1A / Main Street and have dessert at Sprinkles Ice Cream Shop, mentioned in People Magazine, then head back to SUNFEST.
Saturday afternoon, we follow Mad Hatter SUNFEST tradition and slip out of the SUNFEST gate long enough to walk next door to E. R. Bradley's Saloon (the fence literally goes around it), a sprawling restaurant & sports bar, to watch the Kentucky Derby. I will arrive early to secure a table, but the race starts at 6:46 pm. https://www.kentuckyderby.com/derby-day-schedule
Late Sunday morning, we will do brunch at 11:30 am at the Crazy Buffet Chinese Restaurant less than a mile to the west of our lodging on the same side of the road.
This lodging & social package is a http://www.MadHatterPromotions.com Event
NOTE: We attend SUNFEST every year but are not affiliated with it in any way.
